2014 was an exciting year for mobile payments, with the close of the year being dominated with news of Apple Pay. 2015 promises to hold just as much, if not more, innovations in the payments sphere – the release of the Apple Watch, EMV chip card roll-out, to name but a few big moments upcoming. However, and as we have previously explored on Banking Beyond Branches, many of these innovations are (temporarily, at least) isolated to ‘developed markets’.
